GharSeva
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data GharSeva collects, why, and your rights over it. GharSeva is operated by Sai Shiva Ram Sirisala, India. We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number and password (stored encrypted).
- Workers: photo, approximate area of residence, skills, experience, languages, expected salary and availability. Workers may choose to upload a police verification certificate.
- Identity verification (workers and households): with your consent we check one government ID — Aadhaar (by reading the UIDAI-signed Secure QR code), a driving licence or a Voter ID. We keep only the ID type, its last four digits, the name, date of birth and district/state shown on it, and whether the check passed, plus a one-way coded fingerprint that stops the same ID being used on two accounts. We never store the full Aadhaar number or the photo from the QR code.
- Households: address, the kind of help needed, and records you create such as attendance, salary payments you have made, leave and messages.
- Payments: Razorpay processes plan payments. We receive only the payment ID, amount, status and plan. We never receive card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords.
- Technical data: device and browser information and approximate location, used to show workers near you and keep the service secure.
2. How we use it
- To create and manage your account
- To match households with nearby verified workers
- To process GharSeva plan payments (GharSeva does not process salary payments)
- To verify workers' identity for everyone's safety
- To provide support and send service messages such as OTPs and offer notifications. We do not send marketing unless you opt in.
3. Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run GharSeva, and only what they need:
- Razorpay — payment processing
- Supabase — secure database and sign-in
- MSG91 — SMS and OTP messages
- Resend — service emails
- Netlify — website hosting
- Cashfree Payments — driving licence / Voter ID checks against government records (only when you choose one of these IDs)
We share data with government authorities only where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
A worker's phone number, documents and exact address are never shown publicly. A household sees a worker's contact details only after the worker accepts their offer.
4. Security
Passwords are encrypted, connections use HTTPS, and database rules ensure each user can only reach their own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
5. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records for tax purposes.
6. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete your account. Email shivaramgharseva@gmail.com and we will respond within 7 days.
7. Children
GharSeva is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
